Koiskala Manor is an organic farm and tourist destination located in the center of Lahti. It also features a farm restaurant and numerous restored historic buildings.

Events in summer 2026:

Päheet Museums, June 27–July 5, 2026 – theme: Play and Childhood

Open Gardens, July 5, 2026 – theme: Climate-smart and diverse garden

Local Food Day, September 12–13, 2026

During Päheet Museums Week 2026, we are open daily from 11:00 to 19:00. The entrance fee is €5 per person, which allows you to explore the history of the farm and the area. Doors are open to sites such as the ice cellar, food storage sheds, potato cellar, and a playhouse designed in 1935 by Erkki Huttunen. You can also hear presentations about the restoration of the buildings, including window and door repairs.

The Old Dairy Farm Restaurant is open during events and can be rented for private occasions such as family celebrations and meetings. You can rent just the venue and arrange your own catering, or order catering services from us according to your preferences.

Please note: Pets are not allowed on the premises due to the health of the sheep and chickens.
For more information, visit Pauliina Palo’s website.

During visits, you can explore the manor’s history, surroundings, and historic buildings, as well as the farm animals and organic farming practices.
On the farm, you can see Finnish sheep, native breed chickens, and a rooster.

The farm focuses particularly on diverse, regenerative agriculture and ethical production that prioritizes the well-being of animals and nature. Forest biodiversity is also protected, for example through METSO conservation areas.

This year, buckwheat and hay are grown in the fields, and a special feature of the farm is its foraging areas where wild herbs are collected.

Welcome!

The Old Dairy restaurant serves guests during events and can also be reserved for private celebrations and meetings. We welcome groups year-round, and you can book a visit including a farm presentation and optional food or coffee service via the contact form.

At events, you can also see sheep, chickens, a rooster, and farming equipment. We also explain how we take nature into account in areas such as garden care, organic farming, foraging areas, wild herbs, traditional biotopes, buffer zones, grazing, native breeds as landscape managers, pollinators, forest protection under the METSO program, and the use of wood chips for heating and grain drying. We cultivate, among other crops, buckwheat and hay.

Koiskala Manor as a whole is part of a nationally significant built cultural environment landscape area.

We are part of the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) program.
